Copper Mines and Castles
We explored the recently discovered copper mines in 1987 on the Great Orme above Llandudno going back 4000 years ago! Yesterday a visit to Edward 1 castle at Conwy, and this morning a visit to the brute of all fortresses, Caernarfon also built by the Norman king with polygonal towers between 1283-1289. After lunch we boarded the Welsh Highland Railway through the Snowdonia National Park and viewed Cnicht considered the Welsh Matterhorn!
