Ship Ahoy!
Ship Ahoy! On our voyage out of Bays Bull, Newfoundland we viewed many thousands of Puffins on their nesting grounds and two Humpbacked Whales came along side. Kissing the cod during the screeching ceremony in Newtown was a very intimate moment for many of us! A visit to Landfall in Brigus where Rockwell Kent the American artist turned up in Newfoundland in 1914 after leaving Winona, Minnesota where he built two Georgian Mansions.

Last night in Newton, Newfoundland
Last night under a full moon in the outport of Newtown, Newfoundland in the most north eastern point surrounded by water we were all ‘screeched in’ as Newfoundlanders! No more ‘Come From Away’ (Newfoundland words for tourist) for us. We have a diploma to prove it. Yes by’e, we kissed the cod fish by’e, downed a wee dram of screech and performed an Irish jig on stage in front of a full house.
